there's nothing like the build up to Hallowe'en...a glass of red, some playlist of spooky music playing in the background as you carve out a pumpkin all evening!!! π
The art used is a combination of new designs, previously archived designs, artwork from album packaging (some that may have never been printed on merchandise before), or a re-imagination of existing art.
Thats big talk, for stuff which has thus far been decidedly average.
My first panicked (at the time because the US was sold out on my size) first UK store 25th order arrived today.
As I said earlier in the thread they have a robot for new customers (I was told... and I was a new cust as I had to change my email add after my 20 year old isp one closed and they can't migrate accounts to a new email addy) that thinks if you order two of an item you've prob made a mistake - so refunds the duplicatesπ€¬
So I was only getting one of each - and could only reorder one as one was then sold out by the time I got to the mails a mere 6 hours later.
Refund went through fine.
Store order says partially complete - with one of the two shipped and one still pending shipping.
So I open the bag for my 1 t-shirt and find all 4 arrived π€£
UK beat the US store to NZ, though I used tracked not economy as its a few pounds more for UK store versus like $40 for US store - so not a big surprise there.
Shirts are 100% cotton but definitely different weights. 100% cotton is not std these days. The Halloween ones are 100% cotton and a few others, but if you look at even the current US store shirts you see many don't say the fabric at all, then some say 50% cotton, 50% polyester.
So a 50/50 can easily feel thicker / weigh more, but it will not last as long. You will end up with holes sooner in my experience.
So I deff wouldn't be knocking what they band were trying to do.
Also one says made in Honduras the other in Mexico.
So while I don't have US versions I can pretty much guarantee these are the same shirts as you don't go to Mexico to make shirts for the UK - plus with only 300 they'd only ever do one run to be sure of numbers.
So personally I doubt anything capsule related is, or will be different on either store. You just have to remember they can and always have chosen diff fabrics for diff shirts - some light some heavy. The cut can be different too, but if it's all cotton it should, at least in theory, be as good as it gets for the style/weight they were after. Whether they should be heavier is another question.
I've just had a look and my pj ones are 100% cotton too. They do feel thicker though. Done a little stroke test in my wardrobe (joys of working from home) and the older tshirts tend to feel thicker. I don't really know much about fabrics to be honest.
One of my pj ones says "life span 20 years" inside.
Tbh I have so many tshirts they're not going to wear out. The only thing that really happens is I accidentally get bleach on them and ruin them that way π€£ doesn't matter how thick they are to do that!
Yeah I'm sure they used really high density cotton on a most stuff going back from even 7 or so years ago - definitely when everything was US made.
Its all about the fight to make more money - not the band necessarily but LN for sure. Hence the price being higher on these than the standard $19.99 for a t-shirt. More worrying that they might go OK after xyz drops they are used to that price now, why lower it back?

Dear Mum/Mom,
I have this great new life-size Halloween pattern pdf. Can you make me a REALLY great quality, thick full 100% cotton t-shirt like the good ole days...
Just got my first package (after how many months? π) and ordered these new PJ pants to replace my old ones that had gone all raggedy. These are really comfortable so far, much softer and have some stretch to them all over, not just in the waistband. I'm not one to give LN much credit but they did good here!
You should see how it looks glowing in the dark - you might have gotten a bonus print.
I don't know what they do with emails - some get answered in a week, some in a day, and the rest never - maybe it depends which star system they get routed through?

I've never carved a pumpkin π
.....tell me you're joking π
Sadly I'm not joking π₯

Dear Mum/Mom,

Humming along... "Skin and Bones... Skin and Bones... Skin and Bones, don't you know... you're just Skin and Bones..."
Somewhere around 31st Oct yeah.
who bought all the cushions, my foo room is going to be lacking soon...

My alien tee, however, was loose in the bag.
Oh Oh - here we go...
#Pillowgate
ah i got one anyways, just know some people missed out on them due to being out when it dropped
Well the policeman made it very clear it was in my best interests to confess immediately I had not bought one.
He told me:
"You have the right to remain silent...
But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later re-lie upon in court."
My alien tee has a totally crinkled design. Like the print had all split on arrival. Did send an email but never heard back
You should see how it looks glowing in the dark - you might have gotten a bonus print.

yeah, i remember i had to spam them with emails almost at one point a few years ago... every few days until they finally responded
In teatowel gate I'd sometimes get a response, sometimes not.
When I enquired as I'd got the address wrong recently they responded in a few days.
I have the pj bottoms but can't wear them currently as am too round π
Ooh no! I hope to wear mine while drinking mulled wine and eating cheezlets at Christmas... but probably need to lose a few pounds for that to happen
My pillow has arrived π
nice... waiting on the full order before they dispatch mine i think.
but they overcharged for something so chasing them up about it...
No way! Is it nice? Will it being me joy? Pillowy happiness.
Tumbleweed?
Just sent you a teletext... or what ever it is these youngsters call it these days! It's lovely, soft, huggable and friendly π It'll bring you joy!
