Anyone else worried about the tour being cancelled due to coronavirus?
Comments
Only you could come up with a dream like this 😂
🤷🏻♀️
😬
Plus the spread is soon going to be much larger than China, geographically speaking, once it covers the US. Nobody can know for sure of course but best estimates put it being mostly reduced by June/July, others say August/September.
Unfortunately they're also predicting it's highly probable that it will return in the winter with no vaccine.
UK/Ireland flights all cancelled to the US from Tuesday 🙄
Were you coming over for Boston and/or DC Jam?
Hopefully you can get full refunds if you were.
Do you think it’ll go on that long?
I think Boston probably won’t happen but still hopeful that DC will go ahead.
In terms of disease timelines we are probably 2-4 weeks behind Europe so we still have the worst times yet to come. So I’m thinking it will be at least June before shows start up again.
Boston. It had been my plan for the last few years seen as it's a big birthday year for me........ the festival was an added bonus.
There was also a trip to Italy partly booked
I should learn not to make plans!
Ugh - I’m sorry 😞
Hopefully you can reschedule. Maybe do it next year instead and delay your celebrations - and you can shave a year off your age. It doesn’t count unless you actually celebrate your birthday right? 😉
Yes. But Boston might be cancelled anyeay, had an email.
Anyway flights aren't permanently stopped, may/July are a long way off. And yes BA will give a credit note or transfer the flight to a different date.
The email said they're working with City and state officials and will update ticket holders accordingly if there are any changes to the evebt. Everyone's health and safety are the priority etc
It is a long way out but I don’t think things will have gotten back to normal in 3 months.
Haha! Yeah good point 😉
Is what it is. There'll be other festivals/gigs.
Means I have a weekend in Boston later this year!
If timings work I’ll come out and meet you - we can do wine and other alcohols.
Awesome dream!
I can't see anything getting back to normal for ages, they said today they aren't expecting our peak until late May. At the moment we don't have as many cases as other countries. You now have to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival, good luck with policing that....
Woohoo! 🥳🥳
My friend was meant to be going to oz land in April.
He now is not. Because he's my mate, he's more concerned about a festival in Belgium being cancelled in June 😂
In "Times Like These", we need some new music and some words of wisdom from the Fighters
The CDC just issued a statement saying that ‘all events involving more than 50 people’ should be postponed for the next 8 weeks.
That captures pretty much the whole of the van tour.
I’m wondering if things will work out for summer shows.
It’s possible but doubtful
Van tour is 100% not happening as scheduled, just a matter of when they announce it.
Best case scenario right now IMO is that they start with the July 4th show but it seems unlikely. Realistic worse case scenario is that all currently announced shows are postponed to somewhere in the second half of the year, and any shows that were already scheduled for then but not announced are pushed to 2021. Because there is no way they haven't already booked shows beyond July 31st, they just stopped announcing anything as soon as this virus took hold.
I'm sitting in this:
The state of the world is what it is...and, wishing I could rewind a few weeks to when I was stressing about getting tickets to shows.
Be well everyone.
since getting a ticket to Nimes (the original date) I've not purchased anything... waiting to see what happens first and then going from there.
I'm meant to be going to Berlin for a festival at the end of May but just can't see it happening. Flights will be last minute if it is to go ahead though.
Just need to see this out and it is what it is, would rather things postponed than people put at risk.
So the Van Tour is Postponed till December!
Sounds like they are pushing back the whole schedule 9 months!
SOLD. Even though this wasn’t aimed at me ;) but other me
Postponements are absolutely necessary and understandable. They are doing the right thing
However, kind of an odd choice to reassure by saying the album is done but not letting us hear it. Such a tease :p
Probably due to venue availability. I’m sure those places will be booked up in advance.
Yeah very likely!
