We have put some preventative measures in place at my company, with travel restrictions being the next step, but a lot of big businesses have already placed limitations on travel for employees.
If the situation continues to escalate I am sure FF management, along with the band, crew and their families, must be considering a tour to be too risky. All those airports, hotels and arenas full of people - all high risk situations.
The situation is escalating with every new confirmed case so I am sure there must be talks going on at FFHQ about whether it is 'safe' for the tour to go ahead.

Yes.... that's in the back of my mind, especially DC
Yeah sure but I try not to think about it too much.
I guess I'm thinking about it as we've just written an emergency action plan at work.
Same here. We had our first confirmed case in my area today so work is a bit hectic at the moment to say the least. But hopefully they will get the tour on the road asap.
We’ve got restrictions at work too. And a few tours have already been cancelled.
It’s been on my mind. I’m meeting my daughter in San Francisco in a month to see Pearl Jam. She lives in Seattle and is already working from home at her company’s request. The governor of Washington just said that he has the legal authority to restrict activities and close events if it becomes necessary. Let’s hope it doesn’t become necessary anywhere.
My biggest concern is that if they do cancel dates then music websites will use the headline Flu Fighters.
😬
Nah, I give the guys and their crew more credit than to make any knee-jerk reactions at this point. A lot of it is plain hysteria and misinformation right now so people in general shouldn't make any rash decisions or succumb to herd mentality. (Like, have you seen what Australia's up to? Indeed.)
I booked my flights to Boston this week for absolutely ridiculously cheap prices plus I can change the date for no fee if its cancelled.
I'll chance being quarantined afterwards.
😁
I don't think they will cancel at this point in time however if things escalate they must surely consider it.
Do you have enough loo roll now @matineeidyll !!!
Put it this way: It was headline news when a truck shipping bog roll flipped and set on fire 😄 Love how we're all, "I could totally survive in the bush for a week with a knife and my bare Aussie hands" but will rumble with old ladies for soft tissue
I bought like 90 rolls at Costco before Christmas and am probably down to 80.
Might sell them on ebay 🤣
Have a look on the internet for Australia supermarket loo roll frenzies.... it's hilarious! I'm really worried about people who need THAT many rolls for two weeks at home...😂 Now if I was stuck at home for two weeks chocolate supplies would be my main worry!
I'm UK bound next month so we'll see if we survive that but it is a worry more from getting stuck somewhere, luckily I have 10 days when I get back before any major events.
Hasn't France banned gatherings of more than 5k people? That'll will affect Nimes shows unless it's lifted.
Let's hope that it gets under control, they say with warmer weather coming that will help kill it off (except in Oz as we'll be getting colder soon or if in Victoria it's already cooler....) or the media find something else to take the spotlight off it.
They haven't banned gigs in London yet. I'm going to the o2 tomorrow and have received an email saying its definitely on. And they'll be providing hand sanitiser 🤣
Hand sanitizer won’t be effective is someone sneezes or coughs in your face.
Sorry - I’m a doom and gloom merchant tonight 😬
Whatever will happen to SXSW is an important precedent.
Whatever they decide, Coachella will probably follow.
Only a few bands have diseases included in their insurance policies so it’s not exactly up to them to cancel unless they’re cool with losing a ton of money.
A good article on this :

That’s an interesting read. I heard that Apple, Netflix and Amazon cancelled their attendance. It will be interesting to see what happens.
I’m trying to stay positive. If Pearl Jam cancels, I’ll still have a lovely time in SF with my daughter.
Yes, Netflix, Apple, Twitter, all major record labels.. 99% sure it will be cancelled.
It was just cancelled.
Yep.
Won’t be the last.
then you should travel 15 days before the gig. 😊
Anyway If they had to cancel any dates I guess they would make it up for the fans and do another gig at the same location just a bit later. I try to be realistic and also look at their previous behavior pattern.
I am going to go to a theatre performance next week. I was thinking about that in the last 2 days what I'd tell the staff or fellow audience when I start coughing due to my asthma. 😅
So PJ just postponed their first US leg.
I think the Van tour is in serious jeopardy, sadly.
As soon as Coronavirus became a thing I knew it would be coming
Although the PJ tour is very soon - as in a couple of weeks - so Foo have a bit more time to decide.
But unfortunately this shit is going to get worse before it gets better.
Indeed. I think it's likely going to affect the first couple of weeks of the Van tour at least.
Obviously it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of the real issues but it really sucks for the band this has happened in their anniversary year.
And rescheduling may be problematic. Those kind of venues are probably already booked for fall (most likely reschedule time frame) and/or the band may already have other shows booked for then that haven’t been announced.
Really sucks that it’s messing with their anniversary celebrations 😞
