It's multiple drops for RSD these days due to Covid. So you might find it's going to be available in Australia too. June & July this year with potentially a third if it's done like last year which had August, September & October
Not sure if it will be in Oz, I looked at the website, they had links to each record company and releases....couldn't find it 😞
I'm going to see if my local store in UK has it and ask nicely to see if a friend could pop in there, although I've heard people queue up overnight for releases?
Do they limit it to one per customer, another US friend is going to try so she maybe able to get me one 🤞

In 1979 I bought Bee Gees Greatest - I was 11 - it was my second ever record.
I literally laughed coffee all over my keyboard when I read "Dee Gees".

Due to the um... vintage of this scenario it may not immediately hit most but this "in line walking promo picture" has a distinctly Staying Alive video feel to it... with Covid and all it would make this the perfect video for the boys to have had some fun with at an isolated air strip...
Apparently some stores will get it, we will have to hunt them down and find them!
Do we have a source confirming we’ll get it? I used to do the whole trek through the city looking for specific releases usually to find they were never actually available here, so I generally just send my US friends out from the get go.
I heard from RSD Aus via FFL - quote:
"Just spoken with Sony and they say it's on the way and a global priority to have it here for RSD2. Pandemic willing it will happen."

There are some people on the case, I will start calling around as well! There is a list on RSD AU website.
for reference I believe there is 12,000 copies of it total so good chances compared to some of the other stuff (that normally has only like 1500 or 2000.

The line “...on X records and tapes” was a very common thing to be on ads and gig posters in the 70s. It could just be there in a jokey way. Otherwise why not announce it in the RSD press release?
Yes that's true you saw it all the time in the 70's thru the 90's - so that take is definitely a possibility.
On the other hand it's not like RSD haven't done tapes (like Metallica etc), and they aren't gaining again in interest.
It's possible both ways - it's also arguable that saying it on a flyer like that is totally lost and misleading to many under 25 - or that a cassette version might be say a store release.

yes, and no. unfortunately RSD has the delightful pleasure of things being overpriced due to being limited...
normally there's only around 5k total made of any item (huge majority are less), but this has the pleasure of being 12k... yet still for a single vinyl its a bit pricey.
I don't remember what I paid for medium Rare and the TCV one a few years ago but don't remember it being so pricey
