Hey if I’m looking too much into it that’s only because the foos made me this way and I think there’s always a reason for easter eggs or mysteries.
There’s a picture at the end of today’s (nov 10) newsletter without any context. There’s the festival banners, and then a black image with yellow/“golden” flowers. Looks like an album cover (just because it’s square though 😅)
My fooradar instantly went on, it gave me St. CeciliaGate vibes. Then I thought “maybe it’s just a fuckup from the mailing author, maybe they accidentally left an image after using a template or something, or some merch I haven’t seen?
Anyone cares to speculate with me or shut me off?

The black around the edges looks conspicuous, seems likely it’s only half the picture and we’ll see the rest later.
It has vibes of somethingness.
The official release of the Taylor tributes is still outstanding, as are pretty much any official photographs from the events when there were a tonne of photographers there. For a while I thought it would be a very Dave thing if he documented the planning of the shows and made it into a retrospective documentary. Maybe a long shot if the window has passed, but if we’re throwing out random guesses.
Lots of speculating going on in the groups and other platforms!
Everything from the Tribute concerts to an EP of new songs, could be promo for ACL as it's a yellow rose but then we all know about that so it's not much of a tease! Or is the yellow rose an EP recorded in Texas?
Maybe it's the Nora and Dave sessions or that long awaited Andrew GOLD covers?

It gives nothing away and I think FFHQ has cottoned on to us looking for clues this way - but it's definitely a teaser. It opens as an 'unnamed' file, too, so it's intentional.
Saw somewhere that it may be the yellow rose of Texas, and the ACL TV episode premieres soon...but I don't see them doing a teaser campaign just for that.
I can't see it being the ACL, we know it's coming.
I think it's an EP recorded in Texas. Hopefully not a RSD exclusive as they are too stressful to get hold of!
Most people now think the teaser was Dave's appearance with Violet at the Sun Rose!

That’s really cool! Though there were a couple publications that leaked it had happened after the SNL performance. Don’t think they’re a band that often has a cover right after a song comes out

Although it seems fairly obvious now, I would never have guessed it! Keen to hear the studio version, though. I wonder how this all came about.
