I've heard rumors of a headlining spot at Lolla as well. Given that the Metro is one of the few remaining in existance clubs that they played on that first tour, I have to believe that they'll make a stop there. Perhaps another pre or post Lolla show.
I was listening to one of the alternative radio stations here in Minneapolis this morning, and the DJs mentioned that "little birdies" had said there could be a Twin Cities date coming up as well.
Like the Metro, I know that First Avenue is still around since the 1995 tour and all, so...
They do have a day free between each date so there is the possibility of them playing small shows. Especially where the drive from city to city is only a couple of hours - they could easily slip in a small date the night before or after. I expect if they do that the shows will be day of announcement drops and you will probably need to buy tickets in person at the venue.
OK, so we can safely assume a window between the album release and DC Jam, because this would not only celebrate FF25 but also serve to plug the new tunes.
If it is DC itself, rather than the surrounding area, it won't be a camping thing like CalJam. I don't think there is anywhere in the city that could do that. I'd guess it would likely be around RFK, which is being torn down next year. That aside Audi Field and Nationals Park are the only other two likely options in the city itself, I'd say.
There was a Ferris wheel emoji which suggests somewhere pretty big and open, if that is literal. I think they do events in the RFK grounds now don't they, as well as actually in the stadium?
But yeah, it could be one of those "D.C." events that are really in Maryland.

Metro 2017 is still my fav show of all time. I believe it still holds the record for longest show by a couple of mins
I think it does still hold the record - I loved that they opened it with Aurora <3
They had so much fun that night. I hope they go back at some point

The possibility of a show at First Ave. would blow my mind. My first ever FF show was at First Ave. in 2002 in support of One By One. Good times!

good luck for those getting tix.
Good luck guys!!! Hope it’s not too stressful
and are all of the cities listed locations where the first tour tiny venue still exists?!
Not all of them but some yes!
Surely with Dave's voice and the like it would be asking for trouble to stick in a bunch of small shows?
DCJam!!!!
whoooooooop
Yup, looks like Cal Jam is relocating.

Any idea which festival grounds?
Dont think there are that many options are there? What with it being D.C.

we'll have to rename this thread again 🇺🇸
I'm super stoked!
I knew as soon as I booked Knoxville, the big celebration would get announced. Oh well, looks like I'm double dipping this year!
Also, so glad to see the spirit of the OG board alive and well!
Way off haha! What a terrible lineup this year. It'd be amazing to see them at SunFest, but that is never going to happen.
Yeah, that's what made me think of RFK. Lots of parking around it which can easily be used as a temporary venue for a fairground/second stage etc.
looks Like RFK - it says Saturday 4th July 2020
But not confirmed
I saw that RFK had it on their event calendar on the 4th.
We had quite the ffpb group together there for the 20th. The throne made its first appearance!
Yeah I know. It sucks. Horrible line up. Worst in years.
I spoke to my guy there a couple days after posting this and he says they really tried to get FF. Strong push to do so. But no go.
So my guess is not enough cash was thrown at em. Same reason they dont get PJ.
it would have fit in schedule perfect.
we should get a show in the fall down here.
fingers crossed any way.
Looking forward to Knoxville anyway and will catch another couple/few on East coast this Summer /fall.
another RFK show will be cool. I love the bouncing bleachers.
Still a shit load of stuff, We need to see and do in D sleaze.
But def more time to spend partying on 17th st .
Damn. Definitely can't go for a multitude of reasons. Fucks sake Dave, why can't you spread these things out!
