Emily Eavis was on 6 music and said The ChurnUps is a "very small production .... like one of their early gigs"
She also said "Big, big surprises and exciting things coming." but it was unclear if she meant generally across the festival or their set in particular.
I think if they just played a straightforward greatest hits set it'd rule them out of headlining again any time soon. If the set is a little more 'special' then they could very well celebrate their 30th anniversary (and Glastonbury's 55th) by headlining it.
RHCP are in Europe aren't they? After Flea liking that illustration of the Pyramid Stage it'd be nice if he/they were guests seeing as they pulled out as headliners in 1993 and have never been back.
Ohh, cool! Hopefully somebody gets a rip of this up someplace. I remember seeing those festival recap videos back in the day where he every once in a while did his part in Monkey Wrench.
Ahh nice! I saw your friend’s flag and thought it was a nice touch. Saw they just got on Josh’s insta stories too. Good luck with the knee, you’ve got this!
We saw that this evening. The flag is going to the UK dates so it can be passed on - was the intention of it but just didn't work out
Knee ok, but basically hit a brick wall this afternoon- as not been on the go like this in a long time, especially with the heat. Took several hours to perk back up, now about to rest and go again tomorrow

Does anyone know if it will be on BBC iplayer live?
6.15pm on iPlayer.
BBC6music will air some of the set live too.

I'm wondering if it'll be a covers set. Foo and friends sort of thing
Thank you, found it. That's my night planned! sat on sofa with with a drink and snacks.
Getting kinda old for the festival scene π

Will try and catch it tomorrow on iPlayer as I'm out tonight. Sounds like it should be fun.
Looking forward to seeing what they do tonight!

My gig buddy will not shut up asking me what number is this Daddy and making phone calls π€
Macca also side of stage
Seeing Chris actually having a live mic that's audible was nice and then actually seeing Nate with one made me feel an emotion
Um, Is Royal Blood going to have to follow the Foos? πππ I hope there won’t be a tantrum
glastonbury website won’t load for me but I think they were next on the bill
They are next yeah
It would be lovely if someone posts this where it can be viewed in the US
i get so sad when the bbciplayer excludes me.
This mean Nate doing backing vocals on Monkey Wrench?
No they didn't play Monkey Wrench. I forget what song it was now maybe Learn to Fly
The Churns were pretty good! Might go and see them next year. Will their tickets be easier to get than Foos? π
Missed RB as rewatched Foos, best thing about Arctic Monkeys is the singers hair.

The whole field emptied after that
Friends were centre stage Rail with the "Hello, my name is Josh" flag.
Was about 6 rows back to the left... my knee went 10 mins before the set.... thankfully seems to have eased now.
Bring on next year
Barret seems to have pretty convincing evidence that Dave played live in Churn 23rd Dec 1989...
No problem! And thanks for trying.
The Pretender and also Rescued I think.
He has also been singing on TSIAN and yeah, Monkey Wrench (and I think a few more)
Agreed, they were shite so we left to see hot chip

Its fun to watch Dave popping up everywhere π
