It sucks, because FOMO is real. But I really can't justify the cost/time for travelling out of state to just hear them play the same set as last time I saw them. Now if they were playing the 95 setlist in there...
If the Detroit date is Sat May 16th, as looks likely from the schedule, that might work.
I mean, it wouldn't be impossible for them to do a mini set of, say, I'll Stick Around, This Is A Call, For All The Cows, Alone and Easy Target, Big Me, Exhausted and Wattershed or Weenie Beenie. 2/3 of those are in "normal" rotation anyway.
That's what I'd do, at least. Stupid bands, not listening to me.
Very much so. I was disappointed that they aren't playing a date on it for the LTJ co headline tour they just announced (also, they aren't playing Chicago, the gits).
Revisiting stops from the 1995 tour? Hah, they didn't play Wichita, they played in Lawrence. At least go closer so those who may have been there can actually go.
They did a show in the round for Dave’s birthday bash a few years ago at the LA Forum. I think there might be more room to get closer to the stage for GA but everyone spends some time looking at the back of the band. It was a nice change.
It depends how it is done. Metallica did it well a couple of tours ago - they made sure that one of them was always at each end/side whatever, so you always had someone in front of you. Every 2/3 songs, the drum kit would revolve. There's no reason the Foos couldn't do the same with Taylor/Rami and let the other 4 move around at their will.
At Dave's birthday bash, they would play to one area, rotate the stage and play to the next, etc. They also had it rotating all the way around for a bit, which was fun.
Which is why I said it depends how it is done. That's roughly what they did at Wembley in 2008 and it sucks. There's nothing stopping Shifty and Nate from being at either end at any given time, for example.
Just posted this on twitter but here is a rundown of the original Watt tour. As said on there they certainly won't be going this hard in 2020, they don't do three shows back to back these days except in very rare occasions, but I think there is space for a few more cities around late April. Some of the big ones.
As much as I would love them to mix them all in, if each show on the tour had the top 3 and then 3 of the rest randomly, I would say that would be a nice recognition of the event. I'll be disappointed if we only get 2 of them, especially as you know that would likely be 2 from the first 3.
Don't get me wrong, I know that they want to play shows for "everyone", but even they have made a big deal about this being the 25th anniversary. They can afford to play 5/6 old songs each night in celebration of that.
Are they not more likely to leave the bigger markets for larger venues/festivals later in the year? Chicago, for example, I'm guessing they are headling Lolla.
Yeah I think the exclusion of Chicago on top of existing rumours points towards Lolla, but some of the others I think they would double dip. I mean CA is CA, they always double or triple dip there, same for NY. There is certainly a gap for a few more between Jazz Fest and Green Bay. Could throw in NY, PA there at least.

I was thinking the same thing. I’ll wait until I see a setlist, then maybe give it ago for a show closer to home.
I guess I’m no longer a True Fan ™️

I would guess the sets are going to be 85% standard fare, 15% self titled stuff. At best. They almost certainly won't be doing the whole album.
Buzz Kill.

That’s depressing
Got 4 in 122 for Knoxville. Real solid seats in relation to the stage.
Speaking of stage, what a unique set up. Center of arena. In the round. Looks like a lollipop. What is everyones thoughts??
if you have not seen it check out seating charts on the ticket purchase page for both knox and cleveland. Both are similar.
One day I'll learn.
Yay!!!!
@Epic Failure Lagwagon day!
See you there!

Pffft, you'll be on the barrier, we'll be hiding somewhere at the back. :D

The closest show to me is on the same day I am covering another event for a friend's website. Ugh! Add more dates, boys! :D
Lots more room to be closer to the stage, but you do look at them from the sides and from behind a lot.

Didn't they have a rotating stage during the IYH tour with the mini acoustic set in the middle? Or was it stationary and I'm misremembering?
I wonder what they are up to with the off days. Like maybe Shifty or Holy Shits shows

Obviously they could surprise us but I think the safe money is on:
Played most shows
Played at a fair few shows
Played once or twice at best
Never played
So basically 2-5 songs each show I think seems a reasonable guess.
They can't play For All The Cows without the proper 1995 tour intro! lol
That was ESPG Tour but Yesss!

I still can’t believe they are playing in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Middle of nowhere.
It's a nice venue.

@Epic Failure forgot to quote you.
