The band will be on hand to promote their appearance at the Save Our Stages Fest, a three-day livestream event that runs from October 16-18 and features all new, original performances from 25 independent venues across the country and directly benefitting the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund.
"Independent music venues all over the country are closing permanently," says the group. "The smaller music venues and the ones that are really struggling are not only culturally important, they are emotionally important."
I mean, that's usually what the musical act on a late night talk show does - promote their new music.
Debuting a track on there seems a strange move though ... you think there'd be a bit of a tease leading up to it & as of yet the band's social media channels haven't even plugged the appearance. It could very well just be an acoustic taste of what to expect from the #SOSFest set.
"The virtual festival will take place October 16th-18th and the Foo Fighters will be playing an acoustic set at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA for the event. You can tune in live below and catch the Foo Fighters performance this Saturday, October 17th at 07:35pm PDT / 10:35pm EDT.
A ‘preview’ of the Foo Fighters‘ set will be shown on tonight’s (October 15th) episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘."
Let’s not lose all hope - the Grohlettes were assembled today despite this song being a clip from the SOS set. Perhaps they pre-recorded something else...?

The two are connected maybe by an original new song in acoustic?
Or Something new with every release by them Premiere a new song live and release it Friday could be big or not
It'll be 'Times Like These' acoustic, full band. (my prediction) 🤨
😂😂
you might be right for once
you know it 😆
The socials have started
Tonight is a preview of the set played this weekend! Might be amazing
I thought and I’m hoping the same thing!!!
They used a new band pic. Could this mean something?
I can't wait, whatever it is, i've missed them!

It’s a live performance! Oh happy day!
...And it’s ‘Learn To Fly’, pre-recorded.
Well.
Well, if it doesn't happen in the next hour I guess we can clear the whiteboard with the LP# mail theory leading to the November date.
Which gives ample space to theorize about everything right from nothingness.
Pretty disappointing to have stayed up for that. Oh well. At least they all looked healthy lol

Exactly 😊
Damn 😆
Ew, at least with a new twist or plain ol' acoustic version?
And we're back to square 1.
This weekend is about this ‘Save Our Stages fest’ so they’d probably won’t want to shift focus away from that by pushing a new album or new single.
saying that, they may well indeed throw a new song within their short set but I have my doubts.
I’m usually wrong, of course
Glad I didn’t miss anything....
We have to wait the full set disappointing
Come on, I'll gladly have that over any other day when there's nothing happening in the world of Foo 🙂
Any minute now guys
yea its not good to hear people complaining....we've had no action from Foo Fighters all year, come on
I wasn’t complaining. As soon as it’s up on YouTube I’ll be watching
