Well they need to announce it today or put back the ticket sale date - Front Gate Tickets is showing the tickets as going on sale tomorrow!
I am listening to DC101. They just said that tomorrow on Elliot in the morning they will talk to Dave Grohl!
Did they say when? I'd rather not have to listen to Elliot cackle for 4 hours haha
Honestly for some reason I think they said 10am maybe but I'm not sure! It was brief lucky I caught it
Fuck it. I’ve just tweeted the poster I was sent yesterday,
Waaaaah 🥳
I really need the Fooseum to happen again. Now I'm not as excited if they don't do that!
It looks like 2015 poster!
Tail gate party!?
It definitely has a look of the posters Morning Breath have designed in the past.
If true, what an underwhelming lineup. I was hoping for a CalJam-worthy lineup. This isn't even close to the 20th Anniversary show. Oh well. Still a Foo show.
Agreed
Support is definitely a bit odd. Perhaps this isn't entirely a FF funded/curated show like Cal Jam.
This one might be a pass for me unless the line-up improves.
Its an awful lineup - I'm more excited to go to Beachlife Festival than I am this.
The 'Plus Special Guests' under FF is at least intriguing. Just depends how special we're talking. Like, former band members special, or just "Whichever friend/friend of a friend" we ask along.
Would be nice to see Franz back on stage with them, but probably unlikely. William absolutely no chance.
I kind of read that FF with special guests and then the lineup below as the special guests. But if it means we could get some fun guest appearances I might consider going. Right now I'm horribly underwhelmed with the whole thing
Band of Horses are great and The Go-Gos good for nostalgia reasons, but what a random lineup generally. Not really upset at not being able to go. Fedex Field is a nicer venue in terms of facilities, but much more of a pain to get to.
Watch this get a ridiculously good setlist now...
Maybe they cancelled the announcement this morning to get a better fucking lineup 😂
Im hoping that the poster is fake - like a false leak, a set up. And then we get the real announcement of real bands tomorrow.
Maybe we’ll get the announcement and Dave will say ‘motherfuckers - you thought that was the real lineup? Suckers’
Yeah I guess you can read it either way. Should be clearer once it's official and we have more than just a poster.
Announcement seems to be around 9 am tmrw on DC101
Sure is a lot of nonsense going on with leaks on this show. WTF
Not impressed at all with the rumored line up. If that's legit, I may just try to make caljam
Lineup seems to be an odd mix if it pans out.
Will wait and see tomorrow...fingers crossed!
I’ve no reason to believe the poster is fake... a prelim line-up maybe, but not outright lies.
i got it in the early hours of Sunday morning but sat on it. I posted in this thread that it was FedEx when the assumption was still RFK & then once LiveNation confirmed that (also using the graphic that was on the poster I was sent) I tweeted what I had.
As I say I think it's likely this one wasn't FF curated. I mean it's July 4th in D.C., seems likely it was funded in-part by outside influences who wanted to bring is as big a crowd to the place as possible with a diverse line-up.
Live Nation probably, Pharrell is also with them.
All acts are represented by Live Nation so there's our answer. First they book FF on endless festival runs, now they're straight up creating festivals for them with all their own acts.
I said the same thing yesterday - that the lineup was created Live Nation.
And they haven't really pushed the FF 25th anniversary/birthday as part of the event - or at least not so far. Maybe that will come with the announcement today.
Not doubting that the poster is not genuine - more hoping it’s not.
I am not impressed with the lineup and am really considering not going.
Foo Fighters are not somehow unwilling participants in all this. This is their thing. They've re branded all the Caljam socials, they are front and center. You'll see how the press release leads with how it's the "25th birthday of that first album" and how Cal has had it's turn and it's now time D.C got the JAM.
The last 4th of July bash in D.C also had an under card just as diverse - Buddy Guy, LL Cool J, Heart, etc.
