Anthrax did pre-production for the album at Ben Grosse’s studio The Mix Room in Burbank and also worked at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles. “At a certain point we couldn’t get into 606 anymore,” Ian grumbles in jest. “Some band called the Foo Fighters had it booked out for a month.”

BHWA was 606 I think, at least all photos related to the album were taken there
I think only thing I think was recorded there prior to the latest was In Your Honour pre neve console and Harmony and Dissidence. Then Reel to Real.
Reading the paragraphs before that, i'm wondering if that was actually in 2022 - as it mentions Anthrax resuming shows and making demos, then having a collection of songs within a few weeks. I can see FF starting and finishing production on BHWA in one month.

Oh yeah, true. I don't follow Anthrax so I don't know their timeline as well as others.
To be fair I think this article was only pushed on me because it mentioned the Foo's
If it is true it would have to have been somewhere in Feb/March/April wouldn't it - it's not like they have been sitting around much in CA.
Which would mean we are nearly 6 months on and it could be pretty advanced...
This was 16th April 2024 - but it was the release announcement, so you'd normally expect recording a chunk before that, but in this case it all seems to have been a very fast off the cuff thing so prob not. Here they do say the Foos were in rehearsals - but a month of rehearsals is nonsense lol

Next year being their 30th and the 25th anniversary plans being scuppered have me thinking they'd do something
Totally agree about the 30th they will of course be planing something - prob a lot of somethings...
It just smells a bit fishy to be blocking out other bands from the studio who were obviously pretty major artists trying to (it seems) actually record an album.
Of course it is their studio etc etc, just my Foodar says Dave would let them get done first if it was just rehearsing stuff etc - but I could well be wrong.
