Where have those people been literally any other time in the last 25 years? They're just there placing their orders for a bit of attention, it's not about anything FF's doing.
In fairness, as discussed elsewhere previously, the band has not been THAT obviously political. Unless you are an obsessive, it would have been easy to miss the political things they have done. They aren't Rage or something like that where the politics is literally in the music.
I agree that it is difficult for people to have missed the recent Biden etc stuff. It might be my imagination, but it seems like they've probably done more political stuff in the last few years than they had previously.
I give people a pass on the Rock against Bush thing. I think people forget that 2004 was pre Facebook (in any meaningful sense), pre Twitter etc. I think it is much harder now to avoid knowing more about bands outside the music itself.
I just think that more "casual" long term fans of the band could be forgiven for not knowing their politics in a way that they couldn't with a lot of other bands. Even knowing what they have done, if someone asked me to name political bands, they wouldn't be close to the top of the list, if that makes sense?
I think Dave Grhol forever sing to me Gaby .Like that Barak Obama? These is a convenient married to Dave, oh I will wait whit the hammer and the nails.

They've been there since the start according to the bulk of them but clearly before they just weren't paying attention or something 🤷♂️

True but these guys missed them playing for Obama. Endorsing Biden, Hillary and Bernie Sanders etc.
They did Rock against Bush. Several shows for Kerry
