Has there been any info shared since there were 2 photos shared of the band in EastWest Studios covering T.Rex in 2017/8?

I believe a song was recorded (don't think we know which) but the whole project seems to have ground to a halt.
I assume they retain the rights to it so I hope we'll hear it one day - maybe as a RSD release?
The 2 CD tribute that Hal Willner was producing has just had its track listing released and Foo Fighters aren’t on it.

Anyone else ever wonder what is in the vault? We now have this song, "JET!", an Andrew Gold cover or two, likely lots of goodies from the TNLTL era, I think some good stuff that didn't make Sonic Highways that didn't have lyrics yet, but still.... Someday.
It would be nice if the band released some rare stuff like the Pumpkins have on their re-releases.
