Joey left during the recording and played on 4 tracks. Dave played on the 5 remaining tracks they had written. Then when Jon was already recruited and they were sequencing Josh was asked to write something with James Lavelle from UNKLE and that's where the title track came from.
I really like Theodore and i think he is a good fit with qotsa. I would not mind grohl on a track or two, as long as theodore keeps his spot. The guys from mars volta have mentioned several times that kicking him out of the band was their biggest mistake.
I wouldn't mind, but I kind of hope not. I like Theodore's drumming in the band, it work's well and it would seem a shame for him to not be there all album. Plus, like, Dave being on a Queens album is almost boring at this point 😂
New album is called In Times New Roman, and it's out 16th June. The first single is called Emotion Sickness and is streamable now! I'm more gutted I missed out on Cardiff tickets now.
That's a good word for it. After the first verse or so, I expected the rest of the song to stay quite grrr, but it kind of lifts off in the middle. But I do like it.

Not sure why he would need too. It's not like they're without a drummer again
He guested on ...Like Clockwork when they had Joey, so it's not without precedent.

Ohh, gotcha. I stand corrected, ta.
In any case, Dave’s participation (if true) doesn’t necessarily mean shoving Jon to one side.
It is entirely possible though that Dave might be on it in another capacity other than drummer.

Yeah but I think their problem was all ego

Could be DG could be someone else on the new track,
I like it, it's weird but cool.

Need to listen to it again. Wasn't properly enamoured by it on first listen
It's an EODM track with Josh fronting to my ears with a splash of Like Clockwork
A leaked screenshot of the liner notes show that DG is not credited for anything, anywhere, at any time. So he's not on this record.
