And this one is new. Chris talks about surfing, his career and his new music. I believe it is the first interview in which a band member addresses Taylor’s passing ❤️ (this is toward the end ~45 minutes, it’s a good interview but the interviewer is admittedly a lot)

Yeah, just sharing links, the types of interviews are not really for everyone (including me, tbh), but it’s nice to hear from Chris.
Yes definitely nice that they (or some of them) are coping with the situation.

I didn’t realize you were actually asking lol. Assuming you are, it was a joke on the part of the host, he was talking about how “does Dave like Shifty” was one of his first suggestions he got when googling Chris. Happens only a couple minutes in if you’re curious, no real answer but Chris got a kick out of it.
such a weird question in an interview that of course I had to see this.. 😅

Why only surf podcasts??
If I were to guess, it is probably because they are not music podcasts, and he wants to do a bit of promo for his new music without getting on the rock journalism radar. Which seems to have worked. Also at least the last one, it was apparent Chris was a fan of it.
I was surprised (but glad) that one garbage website with the initials AN didn’t run with a “Foo Fighters member drops SAD BOMBSHELL” headline after the first one.
Really enjoying watching these interviews with Chris, thanks for sharing. This one was definitely the best as you say, difficult to see Chris struggling at times but the host was very gracious and empathetic. The 'poddy' interviewer could learn so much from this guy lol

I just this minute finished listening to the Justin Jay podcast, very good! I was quite surprised just how long they talked about Taylor's passing and also about some of the social media stories around it. Give it a listen....

I know, my heart lifted a bit at that stage. Tbh whenever I've heard him talk it definitely didn't sound like he was talking about Foos in the past tense.
