They may no longer exist sadly but let's talk about them anyway.
Some of my favourites
Never heard of them before (I mean hte band, not the individuals).
Thanks for the thread, Simon. 😉
My first tattoo is a lyric from Blinders.
Which lyric? 😍
Love Jackson & Jackson United!
I wish they’d put their shit on Spotify, I sound like a broken record but I’ve been hankering to listen to them for ages!
I take it you don't have the tracks on a computer anywhere digitally already? If you do just back up all your music to Google play music and then you can stream all your music via the app anywhere.
(It doesn't look that nice and fine anymore!)
I’ve have cds at my parents house I could rip to my phone next time i’m home but seems a bit of a slog
You went against Chris and had it tattooed anyway 😲 It's cool though. I'm very scared of needles so I'd have followed Chris' advice.
Yeah that would be a bit of a faff.
@Skezz, I didn't tattoo it on myself! I paid someone to do it 🤣
Though my assumption was that he meant not to get it in his handwriting. I don't know, @Cassandra made him do it for me.
@Geo ooh I think you'd get away with it on a technicality. Has Chris seen it?
Have you checked recently? I just did and they have one album on Spotify here.
I thought he meant his handwriting ‘cause wasn’t that the plan until, you know, you saw his handwriting?
forever ago now though
Not here. Are you sure its not your iTunes/whatever media player integrating with Spotify?
Nothing here :(
I loved JU! I loved them when they were just Jackson, and got their ‘j’ tattooed on my ankle. I got to show Chris, he seemed shocked and appreciative.. lol :)
Yeah, they have 103 monthly listeners and Dead Peasants (which I don’t own) is up there too.
Mine shows 103 listeners, but no tracks. I assumed those listeners where from people that've integrated their own collection.
Which album is on?
My own collection would have more.
Chris still runs his merch under Jake Jackson.
I love seeing that on my credit card statement.
Haha me too
On Trigger Happy was it "Could you pull my finger" that Stu and his son Greg kept singing and eventually Chris started singing it too on the UK tour?
Yes!!! And he posed with the T-shirt too!
He's a good sport
I fucking love the EP and Western Ballads. I don't think I ever heard the third, either that or I heard it and didn't like the punk vibe.
The pop-happy-punk rock of the first two were so fucking fresh. I remember I wanted Dave to fucking turn his head into what Chris was writing. It was really cool
The intro de Sharp Edges! Everlong-y drums and then how it blends with the piano and guitar. LUFFFF
Intro to Blinders. Great
Intro and whole groove of She's Giving In... that's one of my favorites.
Yeah and almost anything off of those. Love Chris, he's so prolific and diverse as fuck. Given, I don't like the country/americana stuff, but I like that he's doing what he likes and is not married to a given genre.
Funny you should mention 'Shes giving in', that one actually started life as a DG demo, as did 'Only Shadows'.
Woah! Now I look like an ass, throwing shade at Dave for not listening to Chris, when he's actually sharing to Chris what I like. 😂
That's really interesting. Thanks for the link.
I thought I got it from Chris for you???
uuuuh. I sent a message to Cass and she printed it and then I don't know. I wasn't there!
I do think it was the same night y'all sang/filmed Happy Birthday to me and had Chris and Caper say happy birthday, too...maybe?
