Wow, I have Concrete + Gold spinning on the turntable with a rare 47-degree February sun in St. Paul and I am reminded of how much I really love this album. There may not not be a better side in FF lore than Side B of this record. I think they really nailed what they wanted to accomplish on this record and I quite-enjoy listening every time, especially when listened to in full as an album. I am eager to see the continuation/progression to this next special album.

Side B of 'Concrete and Gold' stumbles at the last hurdle because of the song 'Concrete and Gold' for me i'm afraid.
agreed
I agree that the title track is blah and a letdown, but the first 10 songs are wonderfully done.
Honestly it's not their strongest closer but I think that it's possibly their best sounding album. The production is brilliant I know it's not to everyone's taste but I think it's brilliant.
Agreed. Well said. :)
The last track is a little hohum to me until those stacked vocals kick in on the choruses. That's one of my favorite parts of the album.
Side note: I wish there was an a capella version of this album. I'd kill to hear the vocals on their lonesome.
St. Paul Minnesota?!
I live in Burnsville.
I think I listened to this record like, 3 times.
T-shirt, Dirty Water, The Line, Arrows. Awesome EP.
Edit: You made me play the whole album. For that I thank you.
Run and The Line are stand-out tracks 🙂
Actually i have it in my car at the moment.
Zero Hour is really really solid song.
The Line is amazing
Arrows is heavy in the guitar break.
Make it right riff is heavy as a rock and/or roll riff can be.
This album took a while (2 years) to grow but it is good. Really good!
And The sound dynamics is gold!
Yep! Lots of we Foo fans in the Twin Cities metro area! Cheers!
Those are exactly my favorite tracks. I am so in love with Zero Hour. Yes, the sound dynamics are tremendous!
An unofficial cut but check out those LAYERS in the intro
