Think we will be, a lot of the lyrics so far also relate to losing my friend out of the blue same week as T, so doubly wrecked 😞
That definitely won't help. I'd be in a similar position and it'll be a hard listen but I'm hoping it'll be a bit cathartic. Still looking forward to it massively

It's possible but I feel like that will be how it is on the track and then kick in with the instrument's
Yeah, that's probably more like it. You can sense after that last line that it's ready to go for it.

…in fact, turn up the volume loud, you can hear music very faintly at 10 secs (though not sure if it’s a click track bleeding from the headphones, need to listen more but it’s likely the actual music he’s singing along to)
I can't quite hear it, but at least we won't have long to wait to find out.

I am looking forward to it, just so far the lyrics released does bring it all back, not just my friend but Mum and MIL who also passed unexpectedly a year or so before. Hope it is cathartic, could do with that....
To me it sounds like the beginning of the song and then maybe it explodes into something really heavy?

It would have been processed way differently and doubled more precisely if it was a solo vocal.

It was a couple of months after my Dad died and I was really struggling, so T just knocked me for six. Yeah, I hope it makes me feel a bit more ok 🤷🏻♀️

I like that. It is so straightforward lyrically and I'm glad Dave just sings it. Really good song, really touching.
Musically it’s like the song Overdrive should have been.
The music was definitely more upbeat than I expected in contrast to the lyrics, but it does work. There was a danger that a more downbeat music track would have made it to melancholy.
