Yeah - I feel very conflicted too. Obv love them & want to support… but also I dunno, I feel very different to how I normally do when something is announced if that makes sense
I thought 2023 in the studio... and 2024 would be as early as we'd see them announce shows, let alone a festival. So yeah, not sure about this. Although Queens is on the bill and that's a selling point for me. As is Alanis. But yeah. Just not sure how invested I can allow myself to be on this one.
Best tribute is to keep on rocking , what would TH do ? He would keep on rocking !
Its tough, life is tough , friends die , family die , hero's die
But you can't stop
Make people laugh again , make them cheer again , make them cry , make them hurt but don't give up don't chuck it , this boston announcement I hope is just the beginning
The group know last year for foo fans was/should have been epic until the tragedy
It is in memory of TH that everyone continues, that Mfucker would have hated to stop a party !
Having serious FOMO at the moment..... Boston is doable (as I should be in UK then, flight prices aren't horrendous but not a fest fan and I'd only want to see Foos) or do I wait and see if they do anything else this year which is better from a logistical or a "I'd really like to visit that place" point of view. Or should I go because what if they don't do anything else....
Re: the cancellations that goes for the most of the European dates also. Tickets on sale in 2019/2020 when they were announcing all the 25 year anniversary 'van' tour and then COVID hit and stopped it all. It was only really Australia & NZ and a small section of US and South America they got through before Taylors passing :(
I have fingers crossed for at least 1 UK date. I see Mad Cool Festival is also yet to announce its headliner for Fri 7th June. Madrid with QOTSA would be epic.
My tickets were at the back so I tried next day, praying to the ticket God's for VIP, anyway, struck lucky and sold the others to a friend who had no luck in getting any, win, win!

Just posted this in the future thread!
I wonder what’s next….
Unsure if it's a bit too soon (just my opinion).
Guess speculation will rise now about who will fill in for the kit

Agreed.
Because its so soon after their NYE message it doesn't feel right.
Still haven't really listened to them - ignoring the tribute concert I've listened to the odd song but nothing much.
Very conflicted

Bonneroo now too! 🤪
Yep. All of this!
Anddddd Sonic Temple!
underwhelmed
But at the same time, small warm up shows here in LA, should they occur. I would probably attempt to go to. I think. I don't know.
Gah! I mean warm up shows are a different beast all together 😬😬😬
So true!!! Looks like it will be an interesting 2023.
Yep! I’m only in your neck of the woods in Sept again tho… I can’t fly more than once… can I?
(Channelling my inner @Geo maybe…)

I wonder if these festivals were already booked way back before T died and they’ve just decided to keep the commitment now.
Do it. Embrace chaos.
Yeah I thought that too!
😁
Grabbed tix for Boston Calling this morning. I’m excited for it!
A few of these are dates that were booked way in advance.
They were booked for Boston Calling in 2020, then COVID cancelled it for 2 years, then they were booked again last year before Taylor died.
They were on Bonnaroo in 2021 before the festival was cancelled for weather.
I think this is more a "we're gonna fucking go here because we said we would" thing than any contractual obligation.

And so the dilemmas begin again....

Very grateful for the Geelong gig......
Dave's been spotted in Dublin, what does this mean??!!!
Could just be a holiday?
Source? Not doubting you - just curious :)
A lady posted on Insta, met him in a restaurant yesterday. Photo evidence so must be legit!
Waaah!
I mean…. He’s probably just on holiday right?
Probably but who knows what he’s up to, maybe another project on the go! Would love another Dublin gig, last one was so much fun!
Agreed! But I’m already on edge about the imagined ticket stress 😂
Indeed, we all are! I reckon it will be even worse now....
I was initially very laid back about Wembley, if we get them, we get them.... ha ....come the day it was a different story!
We were basically saying we'll take what we can get and all ended up with standing 😂
My tickets were at the back so I tried next day, praying to the ticket God's for VIP, anyway, struck lucky and sold the others to a friend who had no luck in getting any, win, win!
Love when that happens 😌
