The basic premise sees the recording sessions interrupted by spooky goings-on attributed to 'Dream Window' a band who had also recorded at the house decades earlier. But those sessions came to a bloody end when their lead singer murdered the rest of the band over creative differences.
The Everlong joke is well played. This looks totally to be the type of movie my sister and I will very much enjoy. As long as covid isn't still going crazy around these parts next month, I'm going to see it.
The Everlong joke is definitely there to hit the wider audience who wouldn’t know who the band is, but are aware of the song 🤩 ....and surely it was written almost 25 years ago now at this point
The Studio 666 trailer is playing before Scream 5… still weird to think of it as an actual “movie” and not a dumb little Hot Buns / FreshPotiX / San Fernando Jacalopes thing.
That was such a peak moment in my freaky teens. I was obsessed with Scream, Neve Campbell and Foos, and all them 3 came together in a short scene when they find out Cici’s been murdered.
I would’ve killed to get that trailer before Scream 5, but with its so very limited releases, we got some shitty horror previews :(
I just skimmed the (extremely spoilery) ratings breakdown posted by fooarchive on twitter and it really does seem to be laser-targeting things i don’t personally enjoy in movies lol. Not in a pearl-clutchy way, I want to enjoy it, but it’ll be rough as someone who has gore on their anti-selling point list in films
Dave and Nate in the UK this weekend to promote the film. Who knows if the rest of the band are here?.....fingers crossed for a secret club gig in London!!!
I would post the new trailer here, but holy crap is that very much a gore fest. They're really going all out on the horror for this movie. Still a pretty cool trailer and looking forward to this next week.
I don't want to see anything else. I already saw the cymbal kill thanks to a facebook page who posted a still. It kills me that there's still no news about a VOD release. I'm hoping march, tops! I'm hopeful.
There’s a lot of humour stuff they aren’t showing in trailers - the scene with Nate and Pat ‘investigating’ is hilarious. But most of the gory stuff has been shown in the trailers…..maybe to entice horror slasher movie fans as well as foo fans??
I've just watched a couple of interviews this morning and it's like.... "I get possessed and kill everyone" ... you're supposed to retain some mystery about the film Dave 🤣
Is there a review embargo for this? I know lots of the media have seen it, not that it’ll really effect my decision to see it but based on some reactions (and a fairly interesting conversation i accidentally had with a promoter or something on reddit) it seems possible the reviews might be kinda good?

Anyone know when tickets might be on sale for the UK or if any of the cinema chains are showing it?
Don't think it's been announced for a British distribution yet

When they filmed that scene it was 20 years ago... 🤣😉
That's the worst movie ever made!! I haven't seen it but dont need to.

and another, tenuous, link being Foo's song 'Dear Lover' on the Scream 2 soundtrack back in 1997

I just realized that one of the Scream 5 kids (Jenna Ortega) is on 666. Too many connections.

It seems it's just Nate representing in the UK - Saturday Kitchen posted on IG that Dave is "stuck in LA" https://www.instagram.com/p/CaIdzQ7o4fv/
Dave's is supposed to be on Sunday Brunch as well but they've not updated their Twitter to say yay or nay yet!
Dont for the life of me understand why the red band trailer shows the death of three (poss four) of the band members.
Its spoiler overload.
I was annoyed at first, but then wondered: If that's what they're okay with letting people see before it's out, what are they NOT showing?

They’ve been flat out spoiling in interviews, too.

I asked Will and Franz if they'd like to be in the film and strangely they BOTH said the same thing...
Wasnt killing me off once enough man?

From 5pm today reviews can run - at least here in the UK (which is why the Guardian's less than favorable review has been taken down).
As for how it'll be reviewed? I don't think people will be demanding it takes home Oscars lets put it that way.
