Is it possible to put in the options a feature to upload photos without having to put in a URL. You know the same way we do with avatar pictures? Be easier for us that don't have instagram pages.

I don't have the server space for that I'm afraid. Easiest option is to just upload to imgur.com and post it here. As long as you don't select the 'post to community' option over on imgur nobody else should see it.
Ok I'll look into it later. Cheers mate
Sorry - just want to check if something works
I think it does.
I know you're just testing but just to add to what I said above for the benefit of everyone - any image should display as long as you link directly to the image, so the URL has .jpg at the end. Doesn't matter where it's hosted. Just click the <> icon at the bottom of the editor and paste it in.
Some image links will display like your post if they're on a service that the forum recognises and turns into a 'rich' link with details.
Just carry on experimenting though, even I don't know exactly how different content/websites will embed. I've no problem with people testing and experimenting with stuff. 😀
Have I done it wrong? Cause I don't know how to do it any other way mate... 😔
Not wrong per-se, but as I say this forum software recognises some websites and will do what you see in your post when you link to the page the image is hosted on. If you're happy with that, it's fine.
This is what will happen if you try to embed the direct image (I don't know what will happen here!)
To get to that on a computer just right click on the image when you're on the dropbox page and click view image. Then that is the URL I copied. Do bear in mind some image hosts won't allow direct hotlinking to the images anyway, so what happened in your post may happen anyway.
Like I say, just play around with stuff, see what happens.
I don't get that option when I right click.
It gives me
Open Image In A New Tab...
Save Image As...
Copy Image...
Copy Image Address...
That's it.
Ahh, different browsers innit. 'Copy Image Address' should do the job though, give it a whirl.
Nah it does "Request failed with status code 500" when I try that.
Hmm. Not sure on that one. But in general, that is what you should use to get the direct URL of an image. Just doesn't work with dropbox for some reason it seems.
Dropbox is really all I can use. Hope that's cool.
Of course. As long as nobody is embedding porn/gore/NSFW/etc I've no problem with whatever you use to do it. 👍️
Aww DAMMIT!!! 😤
j/k 😁
Just trying something
