i think, now this is done, it'll be full steam ahead on launching new music (perhaps no new song played for this live stream as didn't want to avert attention away from the aim of the evening. it was not an opportunity to promote the band)
I read somewhere that a new Foo Fighters record is coming this fall. Don't know if true, but if i remember Sonic Highways was released on November 10th
01) Dave at 13.14 in My Hero... turns to Taylor... to confirm it's coming...
then actually pounds the drums in his head thru the infamous lead into the vocal scream.
It's funny as it is (if you catch it), but if you're a drummer that's just soo hilarious - he can't BE in two places - but in HIS head he IS.
02) (Long silence...) We should just applaud for ourselves... NO - not YOU guys! Just US applauding ourselves... (clapping)
(The "audience") One more! One More!
Hey, FUCK YOU buddy!!
03) The mixing was really good. As already said Dave was rested and sounding really really great.
I'm actually glad they did all old hits - it fit the theme better (where we've come from ie these small venues we need to save).
And it was kinda somehow really reassuring to hear some of the best ever acoustic versions of songs we know so well - like they mean as much to the band as they do to us, and as much or more as anything new.
04) A shame nobody is going to get the Best of "Him" live in person for a bit...
05) I really want to write in his diary: "November - record another new album/EP while my voice is really strong".
I’ve already got loads of merch from the original tour cycle - imagine if they just released all that again π obv it will be new limited edition stuff but hoping it’s totally different anyway

Yes I liked that it was separate actually - and not repeated

This actually makes lots of sense, you know.
Any minute now π
Sooo exciting!!!!
Isn't it just π
Just listening to Pat telling the Tom Waits story π
I need to know more about the riot at the GoGos show π
I thought it was funny that seeing as everyone except Dave and Taylor had mics yet we could actually hear them all.
Didn't mean to quote you @IamBec
A great performance - still not able to sit through Skin&Bones but that’s just me!
As the background singers weren’t a part of this event nor was the percussion thing we saw I’d say we’re in for some great stuff in a bit!
No bother matey

I feel like they might have more to share from this set at some stage.
I really hope so!
Maybe an album release show was recorded there too. Also where were the Grohlettes?

Yes! I liked what they did to it.
It was a fun set with great Troubadour-centered banter.

Just shows they are as always, thinking about everything, everywhere... nothing is an accident.
They've been using that font again since the van tour announcement in February.
LP IV email has dropped
Mondays and Fridays indeed seems to be the pattern.
though what the heck is with “Capsule 2, 10 AM PST”
edit: actually, thinking about it, it is most likely the next merch drop
Yeah that's what it is. The first stop was referenced as a capsule too. I wonder how many of those three will be in total?
I wondered if there’d be three or four. With the forth one being new merch for the new record
i presumed the 'merch capsule' would link to each album...but we're now onto 1x1 at this point π€·ββοΈ

Loved the SOS set!! Dave sounded so good and TLT and Everlong was very moving... mainly because we know what we're missing live π₯
Funny the email should drop today as I was just wondering if we were going to get any more the time capsule merch!
On another note I see Blondie have just announced a tour for next year! People are starting to book them, just hope they can go ahead. π€
Foo Fighters will perform at Tom Petty online festival on October 23th
Was just coming to say that exact same thing
Hope Someone will record it πthat's maybe why they were rehearsing i expect a cover
Foo Fighters stuff coming “Soon, Soon.” At least that’s what Dave Grohl just told Bruce Springsteen.
Yes! heard on your Twitter. This is encouraging.
