I ended up going to Santa Barbara, i bought the second hand expensive tickets but OMG it was so worth it!
Not only was Dave sooooo close to the rail but we also got Nothing at All and The Teacher, it was a dream come true!
The annoying thing was I could have bought a face value GA ticket on the day from the box office but it was a risk as they didn’t guarantee to have any/many.
I would love to do a few of the new ones down the west coast but I’m a bit hesitant due to this statement about can’t resell if no US bank or credit card account and also no transfers. Leaves overseas folks in bit of a mess if for some reason we can’t go, especially as they are so far ahead.
Is there anyway around it? I could ask friends but they might already be at their ticket limit, cc limit or time limit!
The usa presale seemed like the easiest tickets iv ever bought , completely changed my summer holiday plans but got 3 foo gigs in the USA to look forward to nyc , boston and cincinnati
Any idea if all the areas on the field are GA or just the Pit. I noticed they still have some "seated" tickets for sale on the field, but there pretty expensive. Just want make sure I'm getting reserved seats and not GA.
Most of them are a mix of GA and seats on the floor, unusual for a Foo gig. The GA are smaller, I guess to make way for more expensive seats but less people.... I think the ones in LA were going for $450-500, even the back rows on the floor were 350.
On the map it will say GA and then the seated blocks behind have got letters.
They moved a whole event in Geelong for Foos for that gig. They blamed postponement on the weather, sure it hammered down but they wouldn't have known that 2 weeks out when they booked Foos! People attending the event weren't happy as it went from a Friday to a school night, I think it was Nitro so lots of kids would have wanted to go. The other issue was all hotels were already booked out in Geelong and didn't seem to free up, we ended up in one of the worst motels we've ever been in! The Foo gig was such a big thing for the city and first stadium show after lockdown for Victoria.
That was hectic, Geelong was not ready. You'd think the local taxi service would've sent extra cars from Melbourne to cover demand - Uber, too - but it was impossible to get a ride! Lucky a guy in our crew offered to drive us there or else we would've been stuffed.
It was messy, especially for accomodation. The Novotel put it's remaining rooms up to $700 for the night! We got this crappy motel but at least it was only a 15 minute walk back in the storm!
We flew down from Sydney for the night as we were on holiday up there. It worked out okay in the end once I found a shuttle from Mel airport to Geelong! But I know lots of people had transport issues, I'm not even sure if the trains were running later or they put extra ones on. That was handy someone could drive you down there.
I still can't believe every uber driver from Melbourne didn't leg it out that night. Of the million shows I've been to, that was the 'latest' I've ever been.
Haha, sorry I missed this! It was sort of vague before that, even though the seats and GA maps were put up before the ticket sales. But while I'm not thrilled about smaller GA pits, I'm grateful that I was able to secure some tickets there in the pre-sale.
If you were able to get seated tickets on the field, having them at 170+fees in the pre-sale would've been a steal, compared to what the platinum tickets were!
That happened to my friend for Seattle. They're at the back of the front block and got them for a normal price in pre-sale and a few rows up they were over twice the price. I looked later on that day and everything floor was premium pricing! Luckily we bagged two pits in Live Nation presale!
Very nice! Yeah, I think a lot of us definitely had the presale come through for us in the end. The band did pretty well for themselves in the sales for these shows. Minneapolis is only showing scattered single seats, at the moment!
They did, I looked at the LA shows the other day and just a few seats left.
I got San Diego on Foo presale, Seattle on Live Nation but both LA's were on general. I got in within minutes for LA, only 300 in front of me and no pits available! Kept refreshing and after 10 mins bingo!

Presale 10am local time
Might be a idiot here but does that mean 10am nyc time ?
It means 10am for wherever the gig is going to be held.
e.g. 10am eastern for NYC, then anything west coast would be 10am pacific (1pm eastern) etc.
Yay! I was in SB too - really makes me realise how EPIC the ''initimate'' (anything less then a stadium show). good luck for future shows!
Oh it was sooo intimate! It’s a shame we just don’t get anything small for us outside the US.
Are you trying for the new shows?
I would love to do a few of the new ones down the west coast but I’m a bit hesitant due to this statement about can’t resell if no US bank or credit card account and also no transfers. Leaves overseas folks in bit of a mess if for some reason we can’t go, especially as they are so far ahead.

Cheers , just under 2 hours to go for pre sale then !
See you folks in Minneapolis!
I just got 2 tickets for the Denver show. Thank go there is a presale. I am so sick of scalpers.
I had this issue with Arctics recently. In the end I transferred them to my colleague in the US and he sold them for me… but it was a right maul.
One of the main reasons why I went! The smallest shows they do in UK now are 40000 if that...
I'll be doing Seattle, and waiting for them to announce those Canadian dates!
The usa presale seemed like the easiest tickets iv ever bought , completely changed my summer holiday plans but got 3 foo gigs in the USA to look forward to nyc , boston and cincinnati
Totally missed out on the pre-sale due to jury duty. Glad i was able to pick up a ticket today for the Minneapolis show.
See you in Seattle! Looks like summer hols will be west coast USA!
That seems to be the only way around it. Although everyone keeps saying they will be transferable at some point.
It’s not just the US, a US friend is having trouble selling Aus tix for the same reason, so hoping to sell privately.

Got a question, it looks like every gig is in a baseball stadium
Is July not baseball season, what happens if when the fixtures come out a team is supposed to be playing at home same dates ?
Money talks. Game gets moved.

Could you imagine Nitro in that down pour though? I 89% blame that rain for the loss of my jacket/soul.

What a car park score, though.
You couldn't have paid for that. Our mate needed a win that day and boy, did he get one.
It worked out fine overall, at least Dave doesn't mind the rain! Yeah, the field for Nitro would have been Glasto level!
Thankfully we took our lovely pack-a-macs so at least we could keep our posters dry! Sorry about your jacket and soul....
