I know I said earlier in this thread this time around it was completely different record release (no interviews, no ads in the music press, journalists only getting review copies days before June 2nd) and if you add to this the fact they put out so many tracks prior to the album's release I can see this album being "done" rather quickly.
It's all catharsis isn't it: Write the lyrics, give people the album, get back onstage...etc It's a massive hurdle but the important thing is getting over it as quickly as possible.
Nothing At All seems quite out-of-place on this album in that it could've fit on any previous Foo Fighters album, if they do release a subsequent single I'd guess it'll be that.
The last tee I bought from the shop was the red double FF from Concrete and Gold, and its mis-shapen horribly. Terrible quality. I've got better quality knock offs.
Here's my new top 3, WL, BHWA, TCATS, though The one they made in Dave's garage is still and will always be #1, this is now #2, simply devastating and beautiful all at once and Foo Fighters Fooever!🤠✌️🎤🎸🥁🎹🔥🎵🌈
I do agree on the merch quality and the designs have been poor for a long time too. The Taylor tribute stuff was decent but I haven’t bought an actual foos shirt that wasn’t a tour shirt since… you could buy them folded over a piece of cardboard in HMV.
The album is really good. Easily at this time their third best behind TINLTL and TCATS. I think the way this is mixed and mastered is to also be a gut punch to complete the whole of the emotions on the album. Nothing At All was the one they debuted on the live stream wasn't it? Going from that, you can tell this was an everyone playing album as Pat's guitar part started the song.
Due to its subject matter, I wish it wasn't the best album they'd released in years. I wish they'd never found themselves in a place where they sought refuge and catharsis in writing songs about it. I wish they didn't have such pain to work through.
But because life is spectacularly unfair, they made the most emotional and loving album they could've done.
It's over. I tried to preorder on Amazon Mexico and it was not available. Decided to wait 'til friday to buy it on the most popular (yet shrinking) retail music store.
I got there, excited, started looking for it but didn't found it. I asked the clerk and she told me it wasn't even ordered, it would have to be a special order. I don't know how long has it been, but I'm pretty sure there will be no more mexican pressed CD's.
I was in a bit of a shock, since we're talking about a huge popular rock band... I almost felt like "Brooks" (Shawshank Redemption) when he got out of jail and saw cars, which I find funny tragic and sad.
I went back home, totally defeated, and listened to it on Spotify.
I have no clue, guess they just print known artists on the top 10 billboard? And whoever wants other international band cds can just get imports.
I swear to god, I went to the "New releases" rack (which had like 4 rows mind you) and I saw "Harry's House" an old Lana del Rey album, and tons of k-pop.

I've never been that mad on Wasting Light
I still have my Nirvana Incesticide t-shirt from the 90s....sure it's a little small and raggedy, but the print is certainly still looking great! 🤩
Exactly! Like why can’t they just make nice long lasting stuff! 🤭

I also really, really love this album.
My 1x1 tour top is also still in rotation and other than the black being a bit washed out it’s in great condition.
❤️

I like what I’m seeing here.
My top 3 would probably be
TCATS
S/T
... I'm torn on the third. Maybe Echoes Silence Patience and Grace.

My top 5
Taylor tribute show the print has faded after about 5 uses.... not in the rotation as much because of it.
just spent 2 minutes to myself saying "what the fuck is BHWA" ???
Really? What did you get? I got the yellow one and mines held up fine so far
Grey one that has LA & London 2022 on the back, and think it says Taylor Hawkins with a hawk on the front.
Washed inside out & at 30 so definitely not that affecting it
No fabric softener too right? Wrecks the prints
Nah nothing extra.
It's just faded a bit which is annoying. Is what it is.
2 listens ... so far: eh.
I need a couple more listens to really judge

That sounds really bad. Has the demand for non-Mexican bands gone down?

I’m pretty sure the Foos socials were posting a photo of Mexico over the weekend!
I’m still waiting for my white vinyl and cassette bundle that I ordered from the official store 🙄😅
Same. My tracking number at least says its in the country now!
Ordered when the album was announced and it’s only just left the country!
I don’t know why I panic buy with pre-orders 😅
Same same!
I’ve ended up with 6 copies of the album - I don’t know what I’ll do with the spares
