Hidden phone number in 'Walk' video

OK, some of you might remember a phone number that would pop up when the 'Walk' video first dropped - I don't know if the message would play when you called the number or if it could call you back and leave it in a voicemail, but this is what would happen. Can anyone recall how it went down - ie. 'Dave' would pick up, or the number would call back? A comment in the link suggests the latter but want to be sure as i'm planning an FFL post about it.
