I have been wondering about this for years, but while watching jackass this popped up in my mind again.
Lance Bangs is credited for doing handclaps on "see you" and he is also (i assume) the cameraman who can often be seen laughing or vomiting on various clips with jackass.
How did this come about? Was he filming the foo fighters in the studio during the recording of TCATS?
Does anybody know?

I think he was in that Nirvana circle around 93/94
